Donna Morin’s exhibition, part:counterPART,is a personal journey through oil paintings, prints, and collages, pairing framed paper works with canvases, with different times and viewpoints. Morin describes her work in this way: “The work is based on simple graphic shapes: the circle, square, and other geometric forms. The underlying structural principles of this work are informed by the formal tenets of 20th century Modernism. Yet it is a personal vocabulary, which includes more than an interest in pure abstraction. My works are the summation of a lifetime of knowledge and experience. They are about the complexity of composition, color, and form.”
