Support RAM and The Cheech

Please SUPPORT us! We are immensely grateful to our members, visitors, volunteers, donors, community partners, and everyone we’ve served this past year. As a non-profit arts organization, we wouldn’t exist without you. Art connects us, empowers us, and sparks dialogue. It’s both a commentary on the present and a vision for the future.

We remember her incredible leadership and her vision, bravery, energy, strength and love which were inspiring to all who got the privilege to serve alongside her.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Riverside Art Museum (RAM) greatly values and relies on the dedicated time, talent, and passion of volunteers. They play a crucial role in every aspect of our organization, from leadership and program support to special events and fundraisers. By recognizing and nurturing the unique gifts of our volunteers, we aim to create a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone can find joy and fulfillment in our mission-driven work. We prioritize listening, empathy, growth, and doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. Together, we strive to meet the evolving needs of our community through meaningful volunteer opportunities.

Volunteers are committed to two hours a week for six months. Must be able to work independently and in a team environment, be detail oriented, have a positive attitude, commit to our mission-driven work, be passionate about art, and enjoy interacting with the public.

Submit an Application:

If you’re interested in volunteering, please fill out and submit an application.

Your application will be held for three months. Based on your availability, skills, preferences, and enthusiasm, you will be contacted for an interview.

Next Steps:

After an interview has taken place and a committed schedule has been agreed upon, all new volunteers will attend an orientation. During this time, you will receive a tour, meet staff, discuss policies, expectations, and receive training.

If you are not contacted, you are welcome to re-apply within the next application period. Due to limited working space, availability, and museum need, we cannot facilitate every volunteer request.

Internships: Interns at RAM gain invaluable experience learning alongside the museum staff. Internships are offered throughout the year, based on the museum’s needs. Fill out the volunteer application to inquire further.

Museum Guide: The docent program at RAM, guides have the unique opportunity to actively engage visitors in pursuit of enriching the visitors’ experience and enhancing their knowledge of the museum.

Skills Based: RAM offers skills-based volunteer opportunities for highly-qualified students, post-graduates, and/or professionals that allow them to contribute to the museum in meaningful ways that impact our day-to-day operations in various departments.

Special Events: Volunteers will assist in engaging the public both in the museum and during off-site events in enjoyable engagement experiences. Will assist with set-up and breakdown of events, monitor galleries, welcome and greet visitors, and assist with hands on art-making activities.
