@ Riverside Art Museum

EXHIBITION ON VIEW: September 27, 2025 – January 04, 2026

Location: RAM Members Gallery

Riverside Art Museum’s permanent collection represents decades of thoughtful acquisition and community engagement. It contains paintings, drawings, sculptures, and an extensive array of prints that reflect regional artistic achievement and broader contemporary art movements. Like most museums, space and conservation requirements mean that the majority of these works remain in storage, making this exhibition a rare opportunity for visitors to experience the depth and diversity of RAM’s holdings.

The museum has cultivated a rich relationship with printmaking throughout its history, hosting numerous workshops and educational programs that have engaged generations of artists working in print media. This legacy is reflected in our collection of works by Southern California printmakers, including serigraphs, etchings, monotypes, lithographs, and innovative digital scanner-based artworks. While these works demonstrate the technical mastery of our regional artists, they also document the evolution of printmaking—both as an accessible medium for emerging artists and a sophisticated vehicle for artistic expression.

A Look at Our Collection presents a selection of these treasures. It offers visitors the chance to discover works that may have been unseen for years, and to appreciate the breadth of vision that defines RAM’s commitment to preserving and celebrating the visual arts. Through paintings that capture regional landscapes and urban experiences, prints that showcase innovative techniques and bold artistic statements, and works that bridge traditional and contemporary approaches, this exhibition celebrates the artists who have shaped our cultural community.
