Learn in community as we launch our Son Jarocho workshop series! Experience the vibrant musical heritage of Veracruz, México, through the guidance of the renowned Familia Gutiérrez, who will share the traditional practice of Son Jarocho in true community spirit.

In this 3-hour immersive workshop, you’ll dive into the complete Son Jarocho experience: learn to sing traditional versos, be introduced to the rhythmic footwork of zapateado, and explore the distinctive sounds of jarana, requinto, and leona. Musicians of all backgrounds are invited to bring their instruments and join the celebration.

Son Jarocho is more than music—it’s a living tradition that brings people together through shared rhythm, storytelling, and dance. No experience necessary, bring your curiosity and an open heart! This workshop welcomes everyone interested in connecting with this beautiful cultural expression.
