October 2 @ 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Join us for an engaging evening exploring the creative journeys and community impact of the artists behind the Roots to Belonging workshop series. This special program will delve into the artists’ intentions, the significance of their chosen mediums, and the ways in which they continue to engage with community narratives beyond the workshop setting.
The event will also include a critical conversation on the importance of visibility and representation for Chicanx/Latine artists, highlighting the historical challenges they have faced in gaining recognition within mainstream art spaces. We will explore the significance of representation for artists and the role of art in capturing cultural identity and contemporary issues.
The event will also feature the launch of the Roots to Belonging anthology, with contributors reading from their work and limited copies distributed to participants and community members.
