Guided tours exploring both Riverside Art Museum and The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture are available Monday – Friday and every first Saturday of the month.
Walk and Wonder (Elementary – High School Student Tours)
School groups (Elementary – High School) can join our Walk and Wonder Tours for an engaging guided tour AND a Cheech Collects inspired art workshop! Along with our rotating exhibitions, students will learn cultural appreciation, art appreciation, visual analysis, art elements, and museum terminology. Art workshops include a highlight of an artist featured in Cheech Collects. Students will apply the artistโs style to create an original artwork that students take home!
Walk and Wonder Tours are currently offered Tuesday – Friday.

Tours are perfect for groups of all ages. We offer college, adult, and senior group tours. These guided tours can include a tour of our current exhibitions at both locations: Riverside Art Museum and The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture with an art workshop hosted at The Cheech.
Special and private tours are available upon request.
How to Schedule a Tour –
- Fill out our Tour Request Form below. (Please include all necessary info including a handful of specific dates and times)
- Our Tour staff will contact you with reservation availability and pricing information.
- Tour Staff will confirm a date, time, and cost with you/your team. (Note: The reservation is not guaranteed if deposit deadline is not met)
- The individual/school/class/organization/company will be invoiced for the visit.
- Deposit must be paid to officially lock in a reservation. Please contact Tour staff through email if there are any updates on payment delay or about the overall tour reservation.
- Done! You have successfully scheduled a guided tour with the Riverside Art Museum and The Cheech Marin Center!
No edits or refunds can be made if a cancellation or schedule edit is received less than 2 weeks before reservation date.
Reservation Policyโ
- Teachers that are coordinating the trip are responsible for letting the RAM Tour Team know what school they are coming from, their class grade, class size, and any special needs required.
- Tours will begin promptly at their scheduled tour time and cannot extend after scheduled time.
- If schools arrive late, this will result in a shorter tour and/or workshop time.
- Museum doors open at 10am, we cannot guarantee access to the museum before this time.
- For district contracts/bulk school tour bookings, reservations and payment should be made no later than one month in advance, or risk losing held dates.
Cancellation Fee & Invoice Edit Requestโ
- RAM Staff must be notified of cancellation or schedule edit within 2 weeks of scheduled tour. No edits or refunds can be made if a cancellation or schedule edit is received less than 2 weeks before reservation date.
The Riverside Art Museum accepts payments made one of two ways…
A $50 per group NON REFUNDABLE deposit is required to secure your tour reservation 4 weeks from the received invoice date. The rest of the tour balance is to be paid off anytime BEFORE your tour date.
If you do not receive a deposit fee for a reservation happening within 2 weeks or less of the schedule date you will receive a notice of a cancellation fee that will be implemented to the reservation if necessary. We must be notified of the cancellation 24 hours before the reservation takes place. A fee of $50 per class will be charged.

Our tour staff should have confirmed your visit date & time along with payment info. NOTE: Sending in a request form does not guarantee that the reservation is confirmed.
Both, RAM and The Cheech do not have cafeterias or any food available for purchase. Provided lunch is the group’s responsibility and can be stored in a storage space inside of The Cheech if necessary. If your group is planning to have lunch on-site, we suggest our front lawn space of The Cheech. Tour staff will not be available to support a reservation’s lunch time.

Please have your group wait in the front lawn of The Cheech Marin Center at 3581 Mission Inn Avenue, Riverside, CA 92501 where your guide(s) will greet you to begin your visit.
For grade school tours, we require one teacher or adult for every 10 students. Chaperones are responsible for accompanying students at all times during their visit, even if students are high-school aged, for safety and security purposes. More than 4 chaperones per reservation will result in an additional fee.
Parking for large transportation can be found around The Cheech.

Street parking is free on Saturdays & Sundays in Downtown Riverside. City parking (usually numbered spaces around Downtown Riverside) is metered Mon-Fri. RAM is not responsible for any city ticketing that may occur.
Schools are responsible for booking their transportation and being in contact with their bus drivers on the day of the trip.
