Enhance your visit by booking a guided tour of either The Cheech or our historic Julia Morgan building.
Guided tours are available Tuesday – Friday, as well as the last Sunday of every month.
Walk and Wonder Tours (Elementary – High School)
School groups can book a one-hour Walk and Wonder Tour of either The Cheech or the Julia Morgan building. Groups may reserve an additional one-hour art workshop based on the works of exhibiting artists, applying the artist’s technique to their own work.
While the guided tour will only take place in one building, your admission will include access to both sites.

Please Note: While single groups are limited to 40 students, we can schedule two groups per time slot, allowing up to 80 students per visit. One chaperone is required for every 10 students.
All tours will require a $100 reservation fee to secure your reservation, which will count towards your overall balance.
Adult Tours:
Adult, Senior, and College groups can book a one-hour tour of either The Cheech or the Julia Morgan building. Groups may also book an additional one-hour art workshop, based on the works of exhibiting artists.

Scheduling –
- Choose a date from the calendar below (Available dates are highlighted, tours must be booked a minimum of 14 days in advance)
- Once a date is selected, select a highlighted time slot (tour times are limited to the one-hour time slots listed, workshops may be added for an additional hour)
- Our team will contact you via email to confirm your reservation and the cost of your visit.
- Once your visit is confirmed, our team will provide you with an invoice.
Note: Please reply to the confirmation email within 7 days of receipt, or your reservation may be voided.
- $100 tour reservation fees are non-refundable
- Paid tour fees (except for the $100 reservation fee) may be refunded if the tour is cancelled 15 days or more in advance.
- Tours cancelled within 14 days are not eligible for refunds, but may be rescheduled within the same school year.
- Tour reschedules are limited to the availability listed on the calendar.
Please note: Groups that have not paid their required reservation fee are subject to a $100 cancellation fee when cancelling within 14 days of their reservation.
The Riverside Art Museum accepts payments made one of two ways…
Required reservation fees to secure your reservation must be paid 30 days from the receipt of your invoice. Remaining payment (or purchase order) must be received by your tour date.

The front lawn of The Cheech is open to everyone for larger lunch gatherings. The museums are also walking distance from many of Downtown Riverside’s cafés and restaurants.
Tours will meet near the front steps of either The Cheech or the Julia Morgan building, depending on what was confirmed with your tour coordinator. Groups should arrive 5-10 minutes before scheduled start time.
While our parking lot cannot accommodate buses, street parking is available on Sixth Street between Lemon and Orange (behind The Cheech) or along Lemon Street.
Parking fees may be applicable in public areas.
