Fantasy Art
January 7–February 4 [Ages 6–12]

Join us as we explore worlds filled with wizards, fairies, magic, and so much
More! Students will draw, paint, and sculpt fantasy-inspired works from their
wildest dreams.

 

Fashion and Design
February 11–March 11 [Ages 6-12]

Fashion designers are artists that create the clothing we wear. In this class,
students will sketch, design and create fashion on an accessible scale.

 

The Art of Animation
March 18–April 22 (No class March 25) [Ages 6-12]

In this class, students will learn about the animation techniques used across television and film. Then they’ll create their own works of art inspired by their favorite cartoons, anime characters and so much more!

Asian and African Art
January 8–February 5 [Ages 8–15]

Discover the art and culture of African and Asian countries in this class. Each day, students will learn about a new country and create art inspired by the discussion!

 

Art From the Americas
February 12–March 12 [Ages 8–15]

In this class, students will learn about North, Central, and South American art and culture. From the past to the present, students will be creating art inspired by artists throughout the Americas.

 

European Art Through the Ages
March 19–April 23 (no class March 26) [Ages 8–15]

Students will dive into the rich history and art of European countries. By looking back across centuries, we’ll create our own new works inspired by art movements from England to Italy.

Thursdays-Progressive Drawing

In order to enroll a student in Intermediate Drawing or Advanced Drawing without completing the prerequisite class, please email photos of drawings to the Director of Art Education, Caryn Marsella, at [email protected] for approval.

Progressive Drawing: Beginner
January 9–February 6 [Ages 6–15]

Want to learn how to draw? Let’s start with the basics. This class will cover value, mark making, contour drawing, and cross-contour drawing.

 

Progressive Drawing: Intermediate
February 13–March 13 [Ages 6-15]

This class will teach intermediate drawing skills, including shading, perspective, and grid drawing. Participants must have completed Beginner Drawing to register.

 

Progressive Drawing: Advanced
March 20–April 24 (No class March 27) [Ages 6-15]

Use the skills learned from the first two Progressive Drawing classes to create a final, fantastic artwork in your choice of style.

In this series of “Homeschool” classes, students will have the opportunity to build their art skills across five sessions that explore Illustration, Sculpture, or Mixed Media techniques. Every week, students can experiment with a range of tools and materials, experience the fun of making art, and express themselves as they create individual art pieces of their own!

Morning Sessions

The Wonders of Art Grades K-3

Come experience the wonders of art. Dabble in different mediums including clay, painting, printmaking, and many others. Enjoy the festivities and be amazed!

Mixed Media Grades 4-7+

In this mixed-media class, there are no fixed rules in the creative process. We will use different mediums every day to create and learn about different types of art. From cardboard sculptures and clay portraits to collages with different materials, this class will explore different styles and let students explore their creativity.

Afternoon Session

Imitation & Inspiration Grades K-7+

For centuries, those who were training to become artists replicated others’ artwork to strengthen their skills so they could develop their own unique style. In this class, students will study artwork at RAM and The Cheech, recreate it, and then produce a masterpiece of their own creation.

Cancellation Policy

Should you need to cancel your registration, a request must be submitted in writing and received one week prior to the start of class. A 15% fee is retained for cancellation by enrollee. No exceptions. *We require a minimum number of students to hold a class. In case of cancellation, parents will be notified through given contact information.

Scholarships are available from the following funds: Dottie Smith Scholarship Fund, Littleworth Scholarship Fund, Dorothy Blunden Scholarship Fund, Jacqueline M. Smith Memorial Fund, and Art Alliance Scholarship Fund.
