Riverside’s Paulden Evans, designer, sculptor, painter, returns to RAM with a series of recent abstract paintings and sculptures. In Evans’ works, layers of colors and textures explode on large metal panels, reflecting light and shadow. Working with salvaged metals, varying from stainless steel to heavy gauged steel, Evans’ pieces are sometimes painted in brilliant colors or simply rely on the natural patina of the metals used.

In a career in art that spans over 40 years, Paulden Evans has amassed a following by collectors and art lovers throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia. His often larger than lifesized sculptures are in numerous public and private collections.
