Cheech Film Program event: “Ethical Community Journalism and Content Creation,” a workshop presented by the co-owners and publishers of Inland Empire Community News, Denise Berver and Manny Sandoval.
This workshop will focus on providing valuable information and resources on how we can be ethical in the gathering and reporting of information shared online or in print. Topics include the ethics and responsibilities behind covering protests and strikes, community activism, and local news as well as sharing how to submit PRA requests, our legal rights in filming federal activities, participating in civic council meetings, recognizing AI generated content, and verifying information on social media.
