Free Event – ArtsWalk at The Cheech

Join us on August 1st at 6PM for ArtsWalk at The Cheech!

In the Sala José Jaime Medina, Aguatl of Milpa Music (@milpamusica) will be DJing all night.

Then, join us in our Education Classroom for Art Workshop with Mayra Zambrano (@mayras_artique) and Bee Cisneros (@dualityofbee), artists featured in Hogar Dulce Hogar. Hogar Dulce Hogar features 18 artists from the I.E. Each artwork expresses the meaning of “Hogar Dulce Hogar” or similar to “Home Sweet Home”. In this workshop, hosted by Mayra Zambrano and Bee Cisneros, we encourage participants to paint what that might mean for them. Participants will learn basic painting and color skills. Each canvas painted will then be collected by Mayra and Bee to be assembled into create a larger mosaic. This mosaic will depict the Riverside bell emblem as it is well known throughout our community!
