Exhibitions Department Internship
A part-time, unpaid internship is available 2-3 days per week for the spring semester. The days and hours are flexible, to be determined with RAM staff. The intern will gain knowledge of the Museum's exhibition process by providing clerical and administrative support to the Administrative and Exhibitions Coordinator in maintaining the exhibit schedule. The Exhibitions Department provides administrative support for the production of the exhibition program encompassing the areas of project management, exhibition design, installation, and technical expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Research and organize archival material and visual materials related to the Museum's exhibitions.
- Enter data from completed files into Exhibition Department's server.
- Assist in tracking and managing schedule relating to preparation, shipping, production, and layout design of exhibitions.
Requirements: Interns must have:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, goal-oriented with ability to work independently with attention to detail.
- PC platform computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Basic knowledge and interest in art history and contemporary art.

Curatorial Department Internship
A part-time, unpaid internship is available 2-3 days per week for the spring semester. The days and hours are flexible, to be determined with RAM staff. The intern will gain knowledge of the process of researching and developing exhibitions and associated adult education programming in conjunction with curators and artists in a hands-on manner. This position requires professional communication skills, proper spelling, and an ability to work independently. Interns will learn the process and assist in the full stages of exhibition design including research, proposals, working with artist and museum professionals, and developing text for press and educational materials.
Responsibilities:
- Research and organize material for use in developing future exhibits and curatorial programs.
- Track data from research and development on RAM's server.
- Assist in working with artists and staff to develop programming related to exhibitions.
Requirements: Interns must have:
- Impeccable written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time-management skills, ability to work independently, and perseverance to start and track long-term projects.
- PC platform computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, basic Photoshop.
- Basic knowledge and interest in art history and contemporary art.

University Liaison/Web-Marketing Internship
A part-time, unpaid internship is available 2-3 days per week for the spring semester. The days and hours are flexible, to be determined with RAM staff. The intern will be responsible for working with staff to create partnerships with universities in the Riverside area to develop new programs, as well as learning and assisting in the creation of press materials, flyers, and the abundance of web-based promotion. This is a new internship position that requires someone with strong interpersonal skills, basic digital design knowledge and an ability to connect with peers and professionals from many campuses.
Responsibilities:
- Research and assist in developing partnership programming with universities in the Riverside Metropolitan area
- Assist in creating materials and/or flyers for email marketing, Facebook, RAM webpage and blog
- Assist in developing press marketing materials
Requirements: Interns must have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time-management skills, ability to work independently, and perseverance to start and track long-term projects.
- PC platform computer skills with knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, basic HTML.
- Interest in art history and contemporary art.

Computer and Network Maintenance Volunteership
A part-time, unpaid volunteership for skilled IT students and professionals is available 1-2 days per week for the spring semester. The days and hours are flexible, to be determined with RAM staff. The volunteer will assist in all areas of IT needs, including networking and workstation maintenance. This position requires professional IT skills and an ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Assistance in maintenance of PC workstations, including defragmentation, system updates, repair, memory installation, etc.
- Perform network diagnostic and server maintenance, including troubleshooting and repairing server errors
Requirements:
- Familiarity with maintaining a server (RAM uses Microsoft Small Business Server 2003)
- Knowledge with diagnosing routers, network security, PC workstation maintenance and repair
- Optional: Database and Accounting System Installation and Implementation experience is a plus. A+ certification preferred but not required.
