June 24–28

Morning Sessions, 9 a.m.–noon (Choose one)

Zoology Art, Ages 6–9

Do you love animals? If so, then look no further! This workshop combines our love of animals and art as we craft extraordinary pieces of artwork. Students will create collages, clay sculptures, and painting keepsakes using different mediums.

We Love Riverside, Ages 10–12

Students will visit the Mission Inn Museum to learn about the history of oranges. Back at RAM, students will then make papier-mâché oranges, design orange packing labels, create oil pastels landscapes, and sample a variety of different citrus.

Easel Painting, Ages 13+

This class provides a unique opportunity for young artists to learn to paint and draw at the easel! Students work from direct observation on both still life and portraits, while acquiring a strong foundation in painting techniques. Color mixing, paint application, proportions, and creating a balanced composition will all be covered. Time to see the museum’s diverse art on display is included for study and inspiration.

Afternoon Session, 1–4 p.m.

Painting Class, All Ages

Class for aspiring painters! Students will develop painting, color mixing, and compositional skills as they incorporate new techniques in their work. There will be projects including still life and landscapes. Each student will be able to bring home finished paintings and new painting skills.
