Come and paint together, while working on the project of your choice. Start a new painting or work on your current piece; bring whatever you’re working on. Use the medium of your choice. Experienced art instructor, Joe A. Oakes, will be on hand if you would like some help or have questions. From time to time, there will be group discussions and demos that will be helpful to all. You will be inspired and enjoy the comradery working next to your fellow artists and painters in a fun, relaxed environment.

Learn the basics of bookbinding and how to make a classic hardcover book. Bookbinding basics will be covered, including what tools you need to make your own books at home. You will make a hardcover book using book cloth and your choice of gorgeous papers from around the world for the cover and high quality, subtly dot-gridded paper for the pages to make the journal appropriate for all types of entries—writing, drawing, or bullet-journaling.

Need a simple solution for photographing your paintings, ceramics, jewelry, or other creations? Come learn how to take fabulous pictures of your artwork using your digital camera or your camera phone using a light box and lights. Bill Thomas, Professional Photographer, has so much information to give!

BRING your phones/cameras and one piece of your art to photograph.
Learn the fundamentals of making fused glass. No experience necessary. We will cover glass choices, preparation for fusion, how to use a kiln, safety, firing programs, and more. Students will learn how to cut glass and create a fused holiday ornament. This introduction will get your feet wet and help you decide if fused glass will become your next obsession.

With the holidays right around the corner, it is the perfect time to relax and make your own handmade greeting cards! Using simple relief printing and collage techniques, we will create beautifully patterned, colorful greeting cards. Participants will carve and print their own designs and add decorative paper onto card stock. Join us for a fun-filled afternoon at RAM and walk away with a set of truly unique cards.
