Semi-open studio, discreetly instructed class. Intended for any experience level, this class will emphasize how to make better paintings through individual evaluation and by reviewing the essential foundations of good painting in general: composition, value, light, temperature, and color mixing. Included in this class will be personal observation and assistance, demonstrations, and brief discussions on topics such as: the character of light on form, shadow, and reflection; neutral colors and their importance to contrast; and any subject brought up by students. Artists will be asked to paint from still life and photographs. “Paint What You Like!”
