Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the Riverside Art Museum is offering its summer program virtually, which combines online learning with hands-on activities. We also hope to introduce classes back at RAM later in the summer as the situation evolves. If that occurs and you register for those classes, we will email you with our new procedures and requirements to keep you, your child, and our staff safe.
Our wide variety of virtual hands-on classes for ages 5–9 and 10–17 are designed to inspire creativity and the thirst for knowledge.
RAM’s summer offering of virtual classes and workshops:
- is led by enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and experienced artist instructors;
- includes project-based learning activities that are engaging, informative, and fun;
- combines livestream or pre-recorded lessons with hands-on activities;
- allows for independent student work time, followed by optional office hours during the week so students can have questions about the lessons answered and to offer help where needed; and
- offers virtual art galleries where students can share their work with their classmates.
We can’t wait to see you online (and hopefully, in the near future, in person) soon!
Please check the website for any necessary materials for each class, as well as additional info. New classes and sessions are frequently added, so check back regularly.
We require a minimum number of students to hold a class so please enroll (preferably with a friend!) ASAP. Payment-in-full must be received one week prior to first day of class. A written request one week prior to start of class is required for cancellation (15% fee will be retained by RAM). No full or prorated refunds will be issued. No exceptions. For youth and teen classes, a parent or guardian must sign the student in and out daily; please give us your phone number when enrolling in case we need to cancel/postpone a class or in case of emergency.
NOTE regarding home school programs: If you sign up for any class with the expectation that your home school program or charter school will pay for the class and your home school program or charter school will not pay, you will be held liable for full payment unless a written request one week prior to start of class is submitted to cancel your registration (you will still be charged and held liable for a 15% fee). If you do not cancel or do not show up for your class, you will be charged and held liable for full payment.
